CALL OF DUTY®: GHOSTS INTEL – FIRST STEPS IN MULTIPLAYER

Multiplayer is a huge component of the Call of Duty®: Ghosts experience and it’s only a matter of time before you jump in and join the millions of players online. Whether you start right away or after you’ve completed the Campaign, we’ve put together some basic tips to help you ease into the fray:

Spend Your Squad Points Wisely

In Multiplayer, you earn Squad Points that can be spent to unlock new items, abilities, loadouts and even new Squad members. Choose a starting loadout that looks interesting to you and make small adjustments until you’ve created a class that works really well for your playstyle. Striving to create the perfect set of loadouts is one of the most engaging aspects of Ghosts Multiplayer.

If this is your first time playing, or you’re just not sure where to start, try setting up a Private Match in the Multiplayer menu. All loadout options are available for use in this mode, allowing you to experiment at will without the worry of spending points on something you don’t end up using very often. You can choose from a variety of game modes, set up AI bots and even invite friends to play along with you.

Explore the Maps

The multiplayer maps in Call of Duty®: Ghosts have a lot of different routes and vantage points. While it’s tempting to find a few favorite positions and stick with those, it’s more beneficial in the long run to familiarize yourself with the entirety of each map.

The more you understand a location’s layout, the better prepared you’ll be when playing different game modes or changing positions within a match. You’ll also start to learn which areas to watch out for possible enemy attacks. Next time you’re playing, try exploring some new routes. You might be surprised what you find.

Try Different Multiplayer Game Modes

The game mode you choose can have a real affect on the playstyle of your matches. If you like quick run and gun action, modes like Cranked and Kill Confirmed encourage players to keep moving. If you prefer a slower, more tactical playstyle, try the Team Tactical Playlist, offering a mixture of 4v4 objective modes. If you’re more interested in changing things up, Infected and Hunted offer unique experiences that differ greatly from the other modes.

Have Fun!

Most importantly, have fun! Don’t worry about trying to learn everything at once. Enjoy the game and you’ll naturally improve over time.

Good luck and we’ll see you online!
